“Orang berilmu dan beradab tidak akan diam di kampung halaman

Tinggalkan negerimu dan merantaulah ke negeri orang

Merantaulah, kau akan dapatkan pengganti dari kerabat dan kawan

Berlelah-lelahlah, manisnya hidup terasa setelah lelah berjuang.

- Imam Syafi'i

Should I give you some unnecessary explanation about this famous Parisian macaroons? I mean, what else would you expect to hear from me since these little sweets are Blair Waldorf's favorite snacks or even for some designers such as Louboutin, Marni and Matthew Williamson. Try not to sound exaggerated, but this is the best macaroons I have ever tasted, especially for their Vanilla, Caramel With Salted Butter, Pistachio and Chocolate.

      The City Planning

I never know how it feels when some people say they have experience their love at the first sight moment. But if you ask me if I have ever been in love with a city at the first time of visit, then my answer is yes, I have for sure. London has always been on the top of my list of places that I want to visit. My reason was just that simple, because this city never fails to show its beauties. Later on, after my visit there, I found another reason why I felt much comfortable walking around the city even when I brought myself alone.

There are two aspects that I'm concerned whenever I visit a country/region/city, how the government attract people to come and satisfy the citizens' needs. In my viewpoint, London has been successfully developed for both. Even though this city will definitely cost you a fortune to live in, but it's well worth it as you get all the facilities for such an ideal city life. Let's say about how great this city keep maintaining and using most of the old heritage buildings, providing the large number of city parks, supplying many types of public transportation, offering lots of edutainment activities, providing easy understanding signage and many other great things that we (Indonesian) should learn and apply to our country.

      Am I?

Instead of expecting for birthday presents and surprises, I felt totally plain on my birthday. While other people get excited to have their 21st as they had their 17th, I get scared of facing my future. The same old fears come back and the same old questions reappear in my mind. It's all about how good I can change myself to be a better person, how long my best people will stay to accompany me through life and how big my dreams will become true.

However, I've still had my wish list.
      • My parents, family, boyfriend and best friends (still and) will always stay to "accompany" me through this year
      • Get a master degree scholarship in the major, university and country that would suit me best (actually, I already have one name for each, but everything always depends on God)
      • Create more, give more
      • Live a pleasant and healthy life
      • Travel more places in Indonesia
Last but not least, Alhamdulillah. I have received so much blessings during my early twenties.
      Bismillah for the new days.

      The Heavenly Markets

London is definitely a heaven for a super-flea-market-fan like me. It has plenty of markets with lots of cool things to offer. Whether you are looking for unique stuffs, vintage dresses, antique trunks, beautiful flowers, or even the British traditional foods, London markets are the right place to go. One of the famous markets that I visited is Old Spitalfields Market. Since the first time I came, I couldn't stop 'aww'ing every stuffs I saw and ended up shopping some.

Most people may prefer to spend their time in Oxford Street, where Topshop, H&M, River Island, Urban Outfitters, Selfridge's, Reiss and many other branded stores, show off their glamorous mannequins along the street. I won't deny a pleasant feeling in my every single visits there, but hey, London is known for its flea markets and they offer something beyond your imagination!
It's pretty sad that I couldn't visit the other markets (which were already written down in my itinerary) because of my limitation of time. For those of you who are planning to go there, here are the other must visit markets ; Columbia Road Flowers Market, Bricklane Market, Camden Lock Market, and Portobello Market. Enjoy! ♥
