a lovely piece of Paris Van Java

I always love to walk around the old part of the city, even if only to see the old buildings and take some pictures of them. Actually, I am not kind of people who really like to learn about history. What I love from the old district is only about its architecture, atmosphere and it can refresh my sight from the modern buildings which make me feel bored sometimes.

About a month ago, I and Ican went to Braga, which we weren't deliberately go there. We passed it and suddenly I want to eat the bread from Sumber Hidangan, one of my favorite bakeries in Bandung. And so, we went to a place that used to popular as De Meest Europeesche Winkelstraat Van Indie.

As I remember, I used to imagined with one of my friends, Manda, if someday Braga will be like the common roads in Europe, crowd of people that strolling along the street (of course without vehicles passing it), while some others sitting in the cafes on each side of the street and the rest are shopping in our boutique which located beside one of those cafes. Huoooo, what a highly imagination, isn't it? Well, apart from it, I hope our government will still keep Braga as one of the historical sites in Bandung.

Let's Play with our Mind Trick!

Pay no mind to the severe title. I don't want to disappoint your thoughts as if I will teach you some magic things or games or other similar things like that. Frankly, this is not the sort of a fun thing. But, perhaps will help you to live in a better day with your own positive minds.

I believe, all of us have ever got down. Like me, since I had spent almost a month with my family in Jakarta and a few days ago came back to Bandung, I easily feel lonely, sorrow, homesick and not in my mood to do anything. Whenever I feel homesick, I want to go back to Jakarta. Seems so immature and childish am I, huh? But, I have tried so hard until today, to not allow those crap things stuck inside my mind. Because I know, I will do nothing in Jakarta and moreover, I will get bored either as I am in Bandung. So, I decided to stay in Bandung, do anything fun that will light up my mood. Watching dvd, listening music and browsing internet. All of a sudden, I realized about something that have just happened to me. And now, I want to share it, the MIND TRICK, to all of youuuuuu!

Have you already guess what kind of mind trick that I will tell you, huh? Please do not judge me too fast if I will whimper on you. NO! As I promise to myself, I will be more grateful and mature in this twenty years old me. So, I won't complain, genuinely. What I wrote in the previous paragraph is just an intro to start this topic. Hoooo :)

One of the magic words to play the mind trick

This is how manage your bad feelings, minds, laziness, sorrow, unsteady and many other negative things in yourselves, to become positive. And one of the way to make it, issssss, play with your own minds! Again, please do not think If I will give you motivational words like Mario Teguh does. NO! I love motivational quote and remark to booster my spirit. But, errr, are you kidding me? it is obviously not my talent to motivate people except myself!

Mind trick
change your usual mind become unusual one or another mind which you are comfort with

I will give you some easy examples to understand.
a.  I was hungry on midnight, but I couldn't eat because I am on diet. So, I told myself that I am not hungry at all. I change my mind "I am hungry", become "I am not hungry".

b. I was really want to Jakarta, but I shouldn't. because there are some benefits that I will get when I am in Bandung. Then, I told myself : Jakarta is crap! You better off in Bandung.

c. I was freaking lonely here in my bedroom. Then, I asked myself : Hey silly! don't waste your time with only crying, it makes you become a coward! Wake up! Search some inspirational things that build up your mood!
In other situation, when you get all the negative thinking stuck on your mind, this mind trick is more difficult to be done. And because of that, you need some help to make your mind trick to be successfully done. Music, film, photograph, or anything you love, just make them as your rescuer and motivator! Every time I get my mood down, and I want to play this mind trick, the first thing I do is playing the music and turning up the volume. Up, up and up! Afterwards, I look at some inspirational tumblr, blog, fashion, photograph, DIY, and other things I love! After I get my mood back, then it is a good time to play the mind trick! I fill my mind with the positive things, against my negative mind that I did before. Until all of them are going far, far, faaarrrr away from me. And PUFF! I am totally in my good mood! Horeeey! It would be great for a little while, for sure.

So, do you get this mind trick? Well, I hope you do. Because, without your lovely mood and positive mind, I seriously doubt you can entirely focus and openhearted with all the things you want. Without your passion and spirit, your days are just going to suck. I know exactly how your negative mind and bad mood are gonna be really tough to beat, but it all up to you, to how strong your intention to get back your spirit and keep it up. If you are solemnly to fulfill your mind with positive things, it is so easy to play this mind trick. Best of luck to you, people! :*

A short summer's breath in early January

Summer is really up in the air. And so I snapped some more pics of my last day on a beach. Are you confused and wondered where actually the beach in Singapore is? Well, throw your thought away about the wide and beautiful beaches as we have in Indonesia. The beach is located in Sentosa Island and it is quite little if you compare with our beaches in Tanjung Papuma, Bali, Sulawesi, Padang, etc. For this kind of thing, I literally proud of how much natural resources and wonderful beaches that our country has! Ten thumbs up for Indonesia

Don't count the number of friends you have, but the number of friends you can count on

January 16, 2011

Since I was sick, I have been too lazy to continue posting about my last two days when I was in Singapore. And today I got my mood back! Horeey! However, in this fourth day of my vacation in Singapore, I had seized many wonderful things. Most of them are some things related to decoration. Yeah, now I totally consider that decoration is another part of mine aside from photography, fashion and music. I am soooo much in love with it!

Shoes : Rubi

I was spending the day with myself. It was because my family went to Universal Studios where I was ever go there before. So, I rather went around the city alone than spent my day with laying on the hotel bed and watching the television. Like I told you before, my thought was rarely go wrong. It was such an amazing day with much of unforgettable experiences!

Singapore Art Museum was my first destination. I had been so curious about it and I was satisfied for visiting this artsy place. These are the things which really intrigued me!

Trans Cool Tokyo. My favorite ones!

As a matter of fact, there are many other fascinating things, but I couldn't post them all in my blog. So, the next  thing that caught my eyes is an artistic restaurant near the museum, which I noticed since I saw it.

Food For Thought is its name.

After lunch, I was keeping on my day trip to other places in my list. Thank God, I had the MRT map and GPS in my Blackberry which were so helpful to direct me from one district to another. In this time, I went to China Town to visit one place that made me so curious.

Some fancy things in China Town

After walked a little bit far from Chinatown MRT, finally I found this place which I had seek before. Woods in the Books. Perhaps you think that I am so silly wasting my time only for visiting this book store which maybe I could find the similar one in Jakarta or Bandung. But I was so curious to see it straight from my shoulder since I had found it in magazine and saw their website.

The bookstore looks from outside the door

It's not like many other bookstores that I know. The books are exclusive and moreover, the decoration is incredible. They could make the limit space to be a cozy one. Grievously, they are not allow people to take photograph inside the store. But you can still see what's inside the shop from their blog or website. I didn't buy the books because they only sell the ones for children. So, I just bought these lovely postcard and greeting card.

The fourth place, which is the last destination before I went to Orchard Road is Wanderlust Hotel in Little India.

What I love from this hotel is also about its extraordinary room decoration. Although I couldn't see the room directly, in some measure I could see the decoration of its classy restaurant.

If you are curious to see how their amazing rooms are, then I will give some spoilers about the rooms. These photos were copied from their official website. You can also look many others picture from it.

And we eventually arrived in the end of the day, when I went back to hotel and ended my day with spent the last time in Orchard.

As my story finished, I should go to sleep now. Have a good night, fellas! :)
